BEC Recordings / BEC Worship’s London Gatch is thrilled to announce the full-length solo debut release, New Stories, on February 22, 2019. Listeners have been able to get to know London over the last year as she has released tracks from the upcoming album since May with the song, “Jesus Only You,” which has had a wonderful response. Other songs she has released include: “You Never Walk Away,” “Oh What Perfect Love,” and the title track “New Stories.”
“I can’t even describe the feeling of freedom that I had when the first song released,” shares London. “I feel like, in a lot of ways, it was the expression of worship I was always meant to express.”
Over the past decade, this worship leader was on staff at Elevation Church, where she also was a part of their chart-topping worship platform, Elevation Worship. In 2016, London and her husband, Lance, felt God calling them to something new and led them away from Elevation.
“I felt so strongly that He was speaking to me, ‘I’m preparing you for something new. I’m going ahead of you and I’m making the plans. I’m planning your trip, and I’ll send you the itinerary.’”
That itinerary included several major life events for her family over a short period of time. Shortly after they left Elevation Church and Worship, she gave birth to her first daughter, Tilly. Next, her family moved home to Charleston, S.C., where she and her husband both grew up, and rejoined an old church family – Seacoast Church.
This new album, New Stories, chronicles her inner faith journey since transitioning away from full-time ministry. Eight years on staff had led to burnout and anxiety, as can often happen for pastors and ministry leaders. London says she felt “spiritually frozen.” Now, in this new place and new season, she says, “I’ve finally been defrosted.”
New Stories is a testament to this, how the soil can turn from frozen to flourishing, how our minds can turn from anxiety to peace, how the voices in our heads can turn from lies to truth, and how our hearts can turn from bondage to freedom.
Here are what others are saying about London:
“We love London!! She is and has been incredibly special to, us, the Seacoast Church family for so many years. We’ve watched her grow up and have had the privilege of seeing the extraordinary gifting’s Gods given her and Lance. We are behind her as a church family as she steps into this new season and release of her debut album New Stories.” – Greg Surratt, Founding Pastor, Seacoast Church
“BEC Recordings / BEC Worship is excited to partner with London Gatch on the release of her debut album, ‘New Stories.’ The songs on this album carry with them an authority and anointing which will bless the listener and benefit the church.”
