Holly Starr Announces Launch of The YES Necklace

November 25, 2018

Holly Starr announces the launch of The YES Necklace. On the heels of her fifth album release, Holly Starr officially launches a ministry centered around saying YES to God. Starr’s passion for encouraging people has always been an integral part of her music and touring. “Trusting God is not a natural thing” shares Starr. “It takes effort. It takes intention. It’s a choice. Often that choice boils down to one question. Will I trust him or not? Yes or No?” That thought inspired both the song “Say Yes”, which Starr included on her recent HUMAN album, and The YES Necklace.

Holly initially created the hand made necklaces, with the word YES stamped on a gold medallion, to give away to friends and family as a way to share her personal “YES” journey. After sharing one of the necklaces with her widowed grandmother (Starr Hazan Bitterman), Holly noticed how special it was to her grandma who often spent time alone. Her grandma loved the necklace and was even wearing it the day she passed on to be with Jesus. Holly recalls that moment in the hospital with her grandmother and how it inspired her to reach out to other widows using the necklaces as encouragement. Starr shares “I believe those who suffer should not suffer alone. I have seen the simplest of things restore hope to a broken heart: a phone call, a shared meal, a letter, and a gift as simple as a necklace.”

Holly has been sharing her YES story at shows over the last year, and is officially launching The YES ministry with a “story behind The YES Necklace” video and website on November 19, the two year anniversary of her Grandmother Starr’s passing. The YES Necklace video below premiered Monday, November 19 as part of Youtube’s new video premier feature.

Holly Starr can be seen on her annual Christmas tour this December.
