Blessing Offor Announces Debut Album, “My Tribe,” for January

October 22, 2022

Fresh off of his multi-week No. 1 radio hit “The Goodness” with TOBYMAC, and building on the success of his debut EP, Blessing Offor has announced his long-awaited full length debut My Tribe, available on all major music streaming platforms on January 13th, 2023. Blessing takes the themes introduced on his Brighter Days EP, and fully dives in with a sense of optimism, swagger, groove, and authenticity. A blend of family and community serve as the backdrop for this 16-track record – a love letter to Blessing’s Nigerian roots and his unique journey to the heart of Music City and beyond. Pre-order My Tribe at the link HERE.

“I’m immensely proud of this project,” Blessing exclaims. “It’s been a winding road to get here, but it’s been worth every step. I’ve poured myself into these songs, and I hope that everyone who listens will be able to find something that they can hold onto. All my thanks to everyone who had a hand in it and who puts an ear to it – I would not be here without you!”

Like a fresh pot of gumbo at the family dinner, Blessing brings soul, pop, R&B, and African music together with some extra special flavoring that only the Nigerian-born, Nashville based singer/songwriter can provide. With expert musicianship, sterling vocal performances, and love for his roots in his heart, Blessing has created an album that is a mirrored reflection of himself and his story. Recent single “My Tribe” features some of Blessing’s most percussive and danceable moments, while his latest single “Your Love” features some of his most heartfelt. A song about finding light in the darkness, “Your Love” lays the foundation for Blessing’s vocals to take flight with a sense of assurance and shine. 2022 has proven to be a breakout year for Blessing, garnering a 2022 Dove Award nomination for “New Artist of the Year.” Earlier this year, Blessing released his debut EP Brighter Days to critical acclaim, with the self-titled track peaking at #2 on Billboard’s Christian Airplay chart. Blessing made his national television debut on NBC’s The Kelly Clarkson Show, and subsequently released the Brighter Days (Live Sessions) EP, featuring intimate live versions of tracks from his debut EP. With a No. 1 hit and a Top 5 charting single BEFORE the release of an album, Blessing has proven himself a force in Music City.
