for KING & COUNTRY PERFORM UNIQUE RENDITION OF “LITTLE DRUMMER BOY” ON “CMA COUNTRY CHRISTMAS” AIRING DECEMBER 3rd ON ABC

Fresh off the heels of two GRAMMY® nominations, an AMA nomination, and a thrilling CMA Awards performance with Dolly Parton, two-time GRAMMY® award-winning duo for KING & COUNTRY is proud to return to the CMA stage for the upcoming 10th annual “CMA Country Christmas.” The duo performed its unique and inspired rendition of the classic “Little Drummer Boy,” which elicited a lengthy standing ovation from the audience – enraptured by their high energy performance. “CMA Country Christmas” will air Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 9/8c on ABC.

“Growing up in Nashville and loving the songs that are born here, country music specifically has always been welcoming and familiar to us,” says Joel Smallbone, one half of for KING & COUNTRY. “So, to be invited to perform ‘Little Drummer Boy’ as part of the CMA Country Christmas felt like a lovely bear (or Santa Claus) hug, celebrating one of the great and most unifying holidays of the year.”

Joel and Luke Smallbone’s rousing rendition of “Little Drummer Boy,” has become a viral sensation in recent years, and an essential must-see moment in their live shows. Their version of the Christmas classic has accumulated over 22 million views, over 500,000 shares, and is featured on the official CMA Country Christmas Spotify playlist, available here. CMA Country Christmas host Trisha Yearwood told Good Morning America’s Michael Strahan that she has become “obsessed” with the Australian duo and revealed that their performance on the holiday special is nothing “like you’ve ever seen in your life.”

The country music community embraced for KING & COUNTRY at “The 53rd Annual CMA Awards” with another standing ovation during their performance of “God Only Knows” with the legendary Dolly Parton. The unprecedented collaboration with Dolly has achieved over 97 million on-demand streams. The remarkable music video reached No. 1 on iTunes across all genres and has been viewed over 5 million times. for KING & COUNTRY is winding down the wildly successful burn the ships | World Tour 2019 which produced 39 SOLD-OUT shows along the way.
