5 Albums You Might Have Missed So Far in 2019

September 21, 2016

Who doesn’t love music today? There are loads of great artists out there. Whatever your preferred music genres is, be it grunge rock or pop, or even folk, there is something for you. From Beirut to Solange, to Danish pop singers and the dark Billie Eilish, there is always something new, exciting and satisfying to enjoy, and a lot more to discover.

You may not be into music all that much, but the world will always have something new and tempting to offer. From the blues to the quick beats, we bring you no fewer than five awesome albums to enjoy.

Sunn O))): Life Metal

Yes, this is an actual name. The drone metal duo returns with Steve Albini and yet another album. You may not be fan of heavy metal, but Sunn O)) is far more than cliché. Their sound is experimental, meticulous, an overall – enormous.

They feel “heavy”, but they also lift you up. Each music style has to move on and evolve or it will die. If you think heavy metal is about loud riffs, you will have to rethink this with Sunn O))’s Life Metal. Yes, there is a lot of the heavy riffs, of course, but the whole album is about much more than aggressive and quick-paced guitar solos.

Their music is in fact quite smashing. If you love gaming or even iGaming, you can definitely can have fun by playing Sunn O))) in the background. If you are not quite certain where to find cool games to play, you can definitely visit https://www.canadian-casinos.org. These guys seems to have done quite well in putting together a fantastic list of gaming options.

Beyoncé: Homecoming: The Live Album

Beyoncé’s life album is an ode about life. The singer is an outstanding performer who has grown past her fame and has begun to work on her legacy. When you think Beyoncé you definitely should appreciate her immaculate taste in choreographs, co-stars and the overall look, sound, and appearance she achieves.

Homecoming: The Live Album is a perfect opportunity for her ans to see that even if an album was shot live, a good artist will stand out. Her latest album is no difference. Here are some of our favourite songs:

  • Bow Down
  • I Been On
  • Drunk in Love
  • Diva
  • Flawless Feeling Myself

Vampire Weekend: Father of the Bride

Remember Vampire Weekend? The goth-looking kids are back with their latest album, “Father of the Bride” and their brilliant “This Life” track. Why has the New York band has made it in the past 12 years? Well, think witty lyrics, catchy tunes, captivating story-telling and a clear love for what they do.

Vampire Weekend know how to get the crowd electrified and they have been doing it since 2006. “Giving Up The Gun” is one of their best known tracks, but there have been “A-Punk” and “Oxford Comma”. They appear like kids that have grown up in the burbs and have decided to do killer music. Well, they have most certainly achieved it and their latest album is no different.

Nilüfer Yanya – Miss Universe

Nilüfer Yanya doesn’t really want to be miss universe, but she definitely creates worlds through her art. Quick catchy tunes is what you can expect from her latest album, Miss Universe. There is a lot of guitars in the background but also soothing and sweet voices in the backdrop.

Yanya has created a very soothing overall album that will help you wind down, enjoy the tunes and even ponder a few big questions that modern love deals with when listening to tracks such as “In Your Head” and “Paralysed”. Young Yanya has a long artistic road ahead of her and we can’t see what her latest musical endeavour would be.

Khlaid – Free Spirit

Well, Khalid’s “Free Spirit” is a light album that you can listen to while travelling or even when you want to fall asleep. This isn’t meant as a criticism. Khalid loves to create songs that seem to soothe and keep you in a good mood. There is a simplicity about his beats and rhythms that is quite catch and before long, you will have listened through the entirety of “Free Spins”.

Music in 21st century doesn’t have to be very original to be satisfying. Khalid sings out of his heart, or so it seems, and that’s just about enough to make a great album. Khalid is definitely one of our favourite summer artists in 2019 and we can’t wait to put it on our summer mix.
